Scene pins
Task pinning on Unity GameObjects
Scene pins are Brainloot's object pinning model: attach a card to a GameObject, open it from the editor, and keep the same task visible on the web board. A team-first alternative to private scene notes.
How Scene pins work
Pick a card, pin it to a GameObject, and keep a deep link between the Scene and your Hand. Object pinning is for makers who live in Scene View but still need guild-visible work.
The web app remains the system of record. Pins do not become orphaned editor sticky notes that only one person can find.
Why not only Asset Store scene notes?
Scene-note plugins are useful for local reminders. Brainloot Scene pins pair task pinning with Hand, Focus Mode, XP, and guild boards so production and editor stay on one card.
Part of Unity Bridge (early beta)
Scene pins ship with Unity Bridge in early beta. Unreal Bridge is next with the same deep-link idea. Start free on web, then connect the editor companion when you are ready.
FAQ
- How is Scene pinning different from Asset Store scene notes?
- Many scene-note tools store comments only inside the editor. Brainloot Scene pins are cards on the shared guild board, so teammates see the same work on web and in Unity.
- Can I open a pinned card from Hand?
- Yes. Pull a Scene-pinned card into My Hand, then jump to the linked GameObject from the Unity Bridge while Focus Mode keeps the rest of the board quiet.
